GIRARD - Gary A. Lindsay, 64, passed away at home on Tuesday, August 28, surrounded by his family, who loved him very much. After a hard fought battle with Parkinson's Disease and Lewy Body Dementia, he departed this world for heaven. Gary was born January 20, 1954 in Youngstown, the son of Ralance and Anita (Dunn) Lindsay. He was employed with Parker Hannifin as a machine operator for 42 years, retiring in 2015. Gary was also a member of Union Local 2332.He loved and was devoted to his wife, Linda (Watson) Lindsay, who he married on October 7, 1985, and his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all of them. He loved spending time with his family. He loved their cats and dogs, taking care of their home and yard, and loved the holidays. Gary especially loved decorating the house for Christmas. He loved attending the First Presbyterian Church of Girard and spending time with all of his friends from there. Gary leaves behind his daughters, Lorri Matey of Brookfield and Julie Simpson of Mentor; a son, Rick (Amber) Watson of New York; and four grandchildren, Ethan Watson of Champion, Jack Simpson of Mentor, Aiden New of Mentor and Ellie Watson of New York. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Burnsworth, his parents, Ralance Lindsay and Anita Crider and a brother, David Lindsay. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 4th, from 11 AM to 12 PM with the funeral service to follow at 12 PM at Crown Hill Burial Park's Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna. Rev. Dockstader of the First Presbyterian Church of Girard will officiate. Burial will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any material contributions be sent to: First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Churchill Rd. Girard, Ohio 44420. Selby-T. J.
