Mrs. Juanita M Alexander, 81, of Auburn died at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the home of her son in Florissant, Mo.

She was born Sept. 15, 1910, in Auburn, the daughter of Henry and Ida Harris. She married H.W. Alexander in 1931 in Evanston. He died in 1955. One brother, Wayne Harris, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Alexander was a retired case worker for the state Department of Public Aid. She was a member of the Auburn Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Robert "Bud" Lane of Florissant, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Ruth Ann) Asmussen of Edinburg; five grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Berry Funeral Home, Auburn, with the Rev. Harry Deffley officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery.
