Louiza was apparently a very strong woman when she married Benjamin Appleby on July 31, 1859 in Missouri. She may have had 3 children from a previous marriage: Laura, Alice and Charles A. Wilson. With her marriage to Benjamin she immediately acquired a family consisting of 9 children from his first two marriages. Benjamin and Louiza then set upon to make there own family, having 9 children: Thomas W., Amanda Rachel V., Samuel Elias Benton, Henry Littleberry, David H, Jessie Bell, Martha, Lula and Edward.
