Vivian King age 86 of Grinnell, Iowa died on Friday at the St Francis Manor in Grinnell. Burial in the Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.

Vivian Irene Doty was the daughter of Glenn Ross and Pearl Lucille Jewell Doty. She graduated from Hartwick High School in 1932.

She was married to Robert W King on July 28, 1951 at the Hartwick Church in Hartwick, Iowa. They were blessed with four children; Katherine, Steve, Kevin and Karla. They made their home in Grinnell.

She worked for many years as an Operating Room Technician at Grinnell General Hospital and later was Office Manager for the family business, C & K Transfer until her retirement.

Vivian was known for her quick wit, sense of humor, world famous chocolate chip cookies (or, just world famous to her family), and creative sewing ability which included quiggley making parties ("you can never have too many quigglies!").

Her door was always open as was her caring heart. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
