Joe Gray, 83, of Apison, died Friday August 31, 2018 at his home.
A lifelong resident of Apison, Mr. Gray was a veteran of the US Navy and retired from from Card-Monroe after more than 27 years of service.
He was an avid gardener and always loved working outside in his yard. He was always a hard working man and was very devoted to his family.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sadie Gray.
Survivors are his daughter, Linda Jo Sanders, and husband, Keith whom he loved just like a son; his son, Timothy L. Gray, and wife, Kelly all of Apison;
Four grandchildren, Jason, Samantha, Dakota, and Taylor; three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jaxtyn, and Weston; four sisters, Mary Holloway, June Lackey, Teresa (Melvin) Helton, all of Chattanooga, Jane (Buddy) Clark, Ringgold; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 6 at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
