Janis worked 17 Years at the Nevada Club in Reno. Then worked in Nursing homes in both St. George & Hurricane. She enjoyed gardening, the Southern Utah Mountains, and sharing her crocheting, needlepoint and handiwork with family and friends.
Janis is survived by her daughter Kristine Goodro of Springdale, Ut. Four brothers William Holsten (Alice) of Murray, Ut., John Clarke McFarlane (Betty) of Yucca Valley, Ca., Randy Holsten (Debi) of Heber, Ut., Danny Holsten of Salt Lake, one sister, Lou Ann Holsten of Salt Lake, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerald, her daughter Kimberly Reed, and her brother Gary Holsten.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at 2:30 p.m., in the LaVerkin City Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, May 24, from 1-2 p.m., at Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 140 N. Main, Hurricane, UT., prior to the graveside at the cemetery.
