Celebration of Life Service for Judith (Kleinsasser) Olson will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska with Reverend Daren Popple officiating. A private family inurnment will be held in the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege, Nebraska prior to the service.
Judith Diane “Judy” Olson, 73 years of age of Holdrege, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Holdrege Memorial Homes, surrounded by her family, after her long battle with cancer.
Judy was born March 1, 1945 in Huron, South Dakota, the eldest of two children born to John and Vivian “Susie” (Hofer) Kleinsasser.
Following her education, Judy was united in marriage on December 12, 1962 to Richard Moore, and to this union four children were born: Scott, Dawn, Brian and Todd. The family made their home in Huron.
Later, she married Ronald Stevens in October of 1976, and to this union one daughter, Shauna was born. They made their home in Spearfish, South Dakota for many years until they relocated to Holdrege in 1982.
On November 26, 1997, Judy was united in marriage to Ed Olson and she welcomed his sons: Tragg and Pete into the family.
Judy was the owner/operator of East Avenue Pub for a few years, and was the current owner of Holdrege Heights Apartments.
Family was most important in her life, and she enjoyed spending time with all of her loved ones. She had many interests and hobbies including: watching NASCAR, eating candy, shopping, was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings, and loved her riding lawn mower as she maintained her yard. Those that knew Judy, can witness she didn’t let any grass grow under her feet. She was always on the go.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a nephew, Dustin Kleinsasser.
She leaves to celebrate her life; her husband, Ed Olson; her children: Scott Moore and his wife, Jean of Castle Rock, Colorado; Dawn Fuecker and her husband, Trent of Holdrege; Brian Moore and his wife, Teresa of Parker, Colorado; Todd Moore and his wife, Janel of Holdrege; Shauna Stevens of Holdrege; Tragg Olson of Holdrege; and Pete Olson of Grand Island, Nebraska; five grandchildren: Trenna Rager and her husband, Chris of Holdrege; Drew Fuecker of Windsor, Colorado; Jennifer McGee of Parker, Colorado; and Carson and Dylan Moore of Holdrege; three great-grandchildren: Quincy Lawrence, and Leigha and Lincoln Rager all of Holdrege; her brother, Roger Kleinsasser and his wife, Margaret of Spearfish; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Memorial Book Signing will be held on Monday, September 3, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.
