Mishawaka-Daniel Ray Funkhouser, 62, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 in Elkhart General Hospital, Elkhart.
Daniel was born on June 8, 1956 in Mishawaka to Robert and Barbara (Hess) Funkhouser. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert.
On December 18, 1982 he married Diana Stevens; the mother of his four children and lifelong beloved friend. Surviving are his mother, Barbara Funkhouser of Elkhart; children, Chrissy (Edoardo) Bernazzani of Fair Oaks, CA, Candace (Jacob) Funkhouser of Niles, MI, Brandon (Kayse) Funkhouser of Mishawaka and Josh (Jessica) Funkhouser of Granger; mother of his four children Diana (Stevens) Funkhouser; grandchildren, Grayson, Mallory, Lorenzo, Aria, Jameson, Matteo, Olivia and Maddison; sister, Julie (Geronimo) Guerra of Elkhart and brothers, Bob (Michelle) Funkhouser of Niles, Paul (Connie) Funkhouser of Goshen and Pete (Gina) Funkhouser of Naples, FL.
Daniel worked for Forrest River. He loved to play guitar, golf and was a huge Notre Dame Football and Chicago Cubs fan but most of all loved being with his family.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 4 from 3 to 7 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 5 at 11 a.m. in in the funeral home.
