Rebecca Susan Gray, age 64, of Lake Villa, IL, left this earth to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 25, 2018. She was born in Decatur, IL on November 2, 1953, graduated from Tennessee Temple College on August 7, 1975, and taught 2nd grade at Schaumburg Christian School from 1976 to 2013.
A lover of the Lord, Rebecca had a servant’s heart and served Him through lending her talents to the church orchestra and plays, as well as volunteering in His name as a tutor, a mentor for new teachers, and by providing rides for the elderly. Rebecca was a devoted member and volunteer at Faith Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Nancy (Loveless) Gray; her brother, George (Shaheen) Gray; and a niece, Mahreen Shamim. Rebecca was received in the arms of the Lord and was reunited with her father, Rev. John L. Gray, and her brother, Stephen Gray.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Justen’s Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Ct., Round Lake, IL 60073. On Saturday, September 1st, visitation will resume at Faith Baptist Church, 1333 N. Cedar Lake Rd., Round Lake Beach, IL 60073, from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. service.
