Joan Arline Fullerton Webb, 78, of Nacogdoches, died on August 29, 2018, at home surrounded by her family. She was born June 9, 1940, to Dallas H. Fullerton and Betty Jo Fullerton in Ajo, Arizona. She lived in Humble, Texas, with her mother and sister, Barbara Fullerton Smith, while her father was in WWII. After the war they moved to Seattle, Washington, where she attended elementary school. The family moved to Beaumont, Texas, in 1950 when Joan was in fifth grade. She graduated from French High School in 1958 and Cheniers Business College in 1959. She was a member of Northend Baptist Church and a Blue Bird leader for several years. She volunteered at the Humane Society of Southeast Texas and held a position on the board. Joan was active in the Beaumont Junior Forum for several years. Joan Married S. A. Webb in 1959 they had two children, Jeanne and Terry. She worked at The S & R Shop after business school and stayed home with her children until they graduated high school. She then went back to work for Angie Nall School for Special Children and later as a bank teller for First Federal Savings and Loan. She is survived by her husband, S. A. Webb; sister, Barbara Fullerton Smith; daughters, Terry Webb Henson and Jeanne Webb Blacksher; Jeanne's husband, Danny Blacksher; grandchildren, Jenna Blacksher, Janie Henson, Shana Henson Green and her husband, David Green; great-grandchildren, Brooks and Tucker Green; aunt, Judith Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Dallas Fullerton and Betty Jo Fullerton; stepmother, Rosalie Fullerton; and nephew, Perry Wayne Smith. Joan will be remembered mostly by her beautiful smile and loving compassion for others. Her laughter and sense of humor was contagious. She brought joy to everyone around her and she will surely be missed but never forgotten. A gathering of Mrs. Webb's family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
