Lander Services
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Seydler-Hill Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Mary Clara Lander of Cost, who died at her residence at 11 a.m. Monday.
The Rev. John Will Ward, pastor of the Full Gospel Church, will conduct the service with burial taking place in the Monthalia Lutheran cemetery.
Mrs. Lander was born on May 12, 1898, at Round Top, the daughter of Anna Sideline and August Schindler, natives respectively of Texas and Germany.
She was married to Phillip Lander who preceded her in death in 1954. She was a member of the Lutheran church.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Henry Rasmussen of Dallas; and Mrs. Adolph Rosenauer of Seguin. Preceding her in death were a son, Julian Lander, who was killed in 1947 and two brothers, Bruno D. Schindler, who died in 1968; and Ernest Schindler, who died in August of this year.
Also surviving her are 24 nieces and nephews.
