He had worked for many years for Kimmel Coal Company, Lykens. William enjoyed following NASCAR, the Philadelphia Eagles, golf, fishing and hunting. He was always trying to crack jokes to make people smile.
He is survived by a brother, Byron K. (Kathy) Acker Sr., Lykens and 2 sisters, Margaret (James) Schreiber, Lykens and Elizabeth (Paul) Patton, Woodbine, GA; 2 Sisters-in-law, Valerie Acker, Millersburg, and Kim Ressler, OH, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sister Debra Shoop and brothers, Thomas and Alvin.
There will be a memorial gathering by the Swinging Bridge in Millersburg on September 6th, 2018 at 6:00 PM with fellowship following at the Millersburg Fire House.
