He is survived by his three daughters, Theresa C. Morris and husband, Philip Morris, Tracy L. Shifflett and husband, Paul Shifflett, and Lisa A. Clements; his grandchildren, Heather N. Collier and husband, Thomas Collier, Katelyn E. Morris, Jessie A. Woodson and girlfriend, Amanda Turner, Candace L. Woodson and fiance, Travis Batten, Brandon P. Shifflett, Chelsea Shifflett and Monty Shifflett; great-grandchildren, Timmy Collier, Lily Collier, Peyton Collier, Greyson Collier, Cheyanne Woodson, Dakota Woodson, and Maddie Woodson; special nephew, Brian Clements and his wife, Christine Clements, along with nephews, Greg Clements, Jeff Clements his wife, Wanda Clements, Shaun Clements, Jason Clements and Chris Clements; sister-in-law, Janice Clements; and his special friend, Ronnie Morris.
Carl retired from the Hampton Inn of Charlottesville after 24 years dedicated service to their maintenance crew. He leaves behind a second family of friends, co-workers and coffee drinking buddies. Carl played and coached in the Charlottesville Softball League for 30 years sponsored by The Hampton Inn for many of those year.
Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Rd., Charlottesville, is handling the services. The family will receive family and friends on Friday August 31, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Teague on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at 3 p.m. followed by graveside and reception at Morland Baptist Church in North Garden.
