Charlotte Little-Hughes
This is the story of Charlotte Little-Hughes who entered into eternal life peacefully on Tuesday, August 28, 2018. Charlotte was loved, is missed and will always be cherished.
Charlotte was born on August 11, 1930 in Garfield, WA to Rev. Hugh R. and Mayme Jordan. She fell in love with and married Leslie G. Little in March of 1948 with whom she had five daughters and two sons. Charlotte was devoted to supporting Les's ministry as a pastor for 30 years until his death in 1977. Charlotte earned her nursing degree from Boise State University in 1980 and worked as an LPN for many years. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene for many years. Charlotte married Buddy Hughes in October of 1990 and was his devoted and loving wife until his death in 2010.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and a sister; and her husbands Leslie Little and Buddy Hughes. She is survived by her seven children: Kathy (Terry) Allison of Nampa, Sherry Kent of Napa, CA, Kris (Doug) Sipsy of American Canyon, CA, Lori (Jerry) Lyman of Nampa, Les (Ronnie) Little of Nampa, Scott (Betty) Little of Pendleton, OR and Kellee (Ted) Myers of Nampa. In addition she leaves her legacy in her 21 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren: a mother, a wife, a grandmother, follower of the Lord, a friend a neighborly companion. Charlotte fulfilled all these rolls and more. The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Assisted Living and Encompass Hospice for their great care during her last days. In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made to the Foster and Adoptive Fund at the First Church of the Nazarene, 601 16th Ave South, Nampa, Idaho.
A memorial service for Charlotte will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 31 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel located at 83 N. Midland Blvd in Nampa.
