Myron Samuel "Squeak" Jackson, 72, of Erie Community, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at his home, following an extended illness.
He was born May 6, 1945, in Clarksburg, a son of the late Helen Louise Glaze.
Squeak is survived by his loving wife, Mary E. DeMoss Burrows Jackson, whom he married September 6, 1974. Also surviving are his children, Roberta Simons and her husband, David, Bobby Jackson, Myron S. Jackson Jr. and his wife, Michelle and Michael Robert Jackson and his companion, Cassy Burr; his grandchildren, Stacey Simons and her fiancée, Ryan Markley, David Kyle Simons and his wife, Michele and Ally Shingleton and her husband, Charles; his grand-dog, Dixon; as well as his siblings, Karen Downs and her husband, John, Gloria Callis, Louie Georgeadis and Bertha Shebora; his brothers-in-law, Rev. James DeMoss and his wife, Mary and Everett R. DeMoss and his wife, Karen and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Squeak was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Robert Jackson.
Squeak was known to be a hard worker and was self-employed in the demolition and trucking business before being employed by MEC Construction. He was the current owner of the Dinner Bell, in Erie Community. Squeak was an avid WVU Mountaineers fan. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #52, in Clarksburg, the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2353, in Clarksburg; as well as the Senior Citizens Center Satellite, in Spelter. Squeak loved to pass time sitting in his front porch swing.
The family will receive friends at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Monday from 3 - 9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 16th at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Jim Glaspell officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
