WILMA IRENE QUARLES FRAZIER, 85, of Marietta, GA passed away Monday, August 27, 2018.

Wilma was born August 8, 1933 in Jefferson City, TN. She was a 1951 graduate of Jefferson City, TN high school, a 1955 graduate of Carson Newman University, where she received a BS Degree in Education. She went on to teach in Cleweston, FL and Cleveland, TN at Cleveland Elementary School, then teaching for 27 years at Sedelia Park Elementary in Marietta. She retired from teaching in 1986.

She was a devoted wife. Her and her husband, James "Jim" were ardent supporters of Sprayberry High School where Jim coached. Wilma was a passionate teacher with a great love for children. She was loved by many friends. She loved to travel, play tennis and bridge. In table tennis, she could "beat the boys." Wilma was a former member of Roswell Street Baptist Church and St. Andrews Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Frances Quarles Syndor; brothers, J.C. Quarles, Harold Quarles and Keith Quarles.

Wilma is survived by her husband of 61 years, James Earl Frazier, former football, baseball and track coach of Sprayberry High School; sister, Barbara Quarles Craig of Arizona; brother, Dwight Quarles of Burlington, TX; sister-in-law, Dorothy Quarles; niece, Lou Ann bean; nephews, Randy Quarles, David Quarles and Brian Frazier, and many more great nieces and nephews. Also survived by special friends, Wanda Patterson, Bridge Group Girls, Jack Wade, Jay Dye, Cliff Hicks; her care givers, Cheryl Bare, Daneen Paul, Becky and Keith Weaver, Pat Buddin, Coni Soliday, Tim McMillan, Catherine Norwood, Liz Vernet, Jean and Ron Brown and Shirley Hoffman.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, family, friends and caregivers. "Peace be with you, Wilma."

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 12:30 until 2:30 prior to a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. at Marietta Funeral Home in Marietta, GA. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday September 16, 2018 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Jefferson City, TN.
