At 5:25PM Thursday August 23rd Eva Mae Sanders Howell Watson went home to the Lord from San Antonio, Texas where she'd lived for several years. She was born November 1, 1931 in Bremond, Texas at her Grandparents house (Nat and Mabel Cobb). When she was a teen the family moved to Humble, Texas where later in life she, while being a housewife, became a telephone operator at Home Telephone Co. working for Edwin Kersh. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. In her later years while living in assisted living in SA she knitted baby booties for the preemie babies at one of the hospitals there.

She was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She is preceded in death by the first love of her life Walter Howell, the second Wiley Watson, her oldest son Jerry (Gerald) Howell, her father and mother Stanley and Kitty Azalene Sanders, three Brothers Rufus, Gaston, and Gerald Sanders and one Sister Gloria Jean Nash.

She is survived by her youngest son David Howell of Houston, two brothers Nathan Sanders of Huntsville and Hayden Sanders of Pasadena, and her Grandchildren Jennifer and her husband Jeff Tisdel of San Antonio, Garrett Howell of The Woodlands, Sean Howell and his wife Lindsey of Spring Branch, Texas, and Kelli Ann of Magnolia, five Great Grandchildren Bethany Tisdel, Connor Tisdel, Maelynn Gerdsen, Deacon Crosby Howell Williams, and Lily Mae Howell and one Great Grandchild on the way in October Dean Edward Howell.

Rest well my angel. We’ll always love you.

Eva was born to Stanley Sanders and Kitty Azalene Cobb at her Grandparents (Nat and Mabel Cobb) home in Bremond, Texas. She moved to Humble about the age of 12 and started going to Humble schools. At the age of about 18 she was introduced to her Sister's (Gloria Jean) boyfriend's best friend Walter Howell and while she was working at the ticket booth at the Jewel Theater one night he dropped a ring in through the window and proposed to her. Then the following February they were married and had tow wonderful boys Gerald Lynn"Jerry" and David Edward. Walter died after they had only been married 38 wonderful years and in 1994 she married Wiley Allen Watson. Eva's oldest son died in 2012 but she persevered another 6 years although I often wondered how. I suppose it was the strengths she got naturally from the four people to the right of her here. Her parents and Grandparents.
