Cooksey Services
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist church in Nixon for Terrell Jackson Cooksey, 64, who was killed Monday morning near Smiley.
The Rev. William Walters, pastor, will officiate at the service with burial following in the Nixon cemetery under the direction of Finch Funeral Home of Nixon. The Rev.Robert Hogg will assist at the final rites.
Mr. Cooksey, a. Rather to A. B. Cooksey, this city was born on May 17, 1905, in Gonzales county, and was married to Miss Elsie Irene Shepherd on Dec. 22, 1928. He was the son of James Alvis and Willie Emma Davis Cooksey, and a decon in the Nixon Baptist church.
Survivors include his widow of Nixon; three daughters, Mrs. Judy Moore of Refugio, Mrs. Janey Colwell of Fort Worth; three brothers, Otis of Brenham; Aubrey of Gonzales; Arno Cooksey of Los Almito, California; three sisters, Mrs. W. J. Rushing, Mrs. AnniebYoung, Mrs. Irene Smith, all Waco and seven grandchildren.
