Visitation and funeral services for Deborah “Deb” Goodwin will be held at 5:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M., respectively, on Thursday, August 30, 2018 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Alan Robertson will officiate.

Deborah was born the daughter of Floyd “Woody” and Betty Myers on May 7, 1953 in Paris, IL and passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Glenwood Regional Hospital, surrounded by loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Betty Myers; and her brothers Larry Myers and Darrell Myers.

Deborah is survived by her husband Billy Goodwin; daughter, Jenniffier Goodwin; son, Anthony Goodwin and wife Donna; and five grandchildren, Laney, Ella, Keira, Clark, and Clint. Also surviving is Deborah’s sister, Diana “Sis” Satterfield.

Deborah loved many things, but nothing more than her family. She grew up on a farm in Illinois, just west of the Indiana state line. Upon graduating high school in May 1971, she married the love of her life, Billy, on Feb 18, 1972 and remained married for 46 years. She worked many years in the I. T. department of the V. A. hospital in Danville, IL. Upon moving to West Monroe, LA, in 1995, she spent several years working at Bellsouth, MIS, Inc., Entergy Solutions, AIMS, and finally for St. Francis Medical Center. She made several friends over the years, at each job, and she would be touched to hear the outpouring of kind words that have been said on her behalf.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the entire staff at the Glenwood Intensive Care Unit. Their skill and, more importantly, their compassion during this difficult time exceeded all expectations.
