A daughter of James and Bridget (McDonald) Gallagher. Married William Altfilisch in 1912 at Sacred Heart Cathedral. They had no children, but following the death of her sister, Sarah Gaffey in 1894, she took in the sister's 10 day-old daughter and raised her until custody of the little girl transferred to her father.
