The chapter that was her life has ended. Today, October 1, 2008 at 1:00 A.M. she went on home to be with Jesus and has heard him say: "Well done thou good and faithful servant." As she lived her life in such a humble way, her wishes are being carried out in her Funeral service which will be held in the Sanctuary at the First Baptist Church on Friday, Oct. 3 at 2:00 P.M. with visitation at 1:00 P. M. in the foyer of the First Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Wayne DuBose, and graveside services conducted by Rev. Bill Crider at their private cemetery.
There will be no embalming and she will be dressed in a red gingham dress, in a casket made of wood and buried in her own little cemetery, Woodland Haven, back on their land. Dress for the services is requested by the family to be plain and simple for this country lady. Honorary pallbearers will be Linda DuBose, Cindy Fleming, Juanita Agan, Freddie Louise Haynes, Lavinia Walker, Sondra Crider, Nancy Melton, Charlotte Dunn, and Brittney Fleming Gamel.
