CHARLESTON - The funeral for Martha L. Hurst was Tuesday at the Harper-Swickard Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Pullen officiating. Burial was in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Mattoon. Organist Ruth Ann Craig played "The Old Rugged Cross," "You'll Never Walk Alone" and "Wind Beneath My Wings." She also accompanied Kim Hamilton, who sang, "In The Garden" and "It Is No Secret." Pallbearers were Patty Ann Simpson, Shelly Devall, Mary Behl, Chelsea Simpson, Russann Devall and Russell Cox. Honorary pallbearers were Alisha Behl, Ryan Millage and Dustin Devall. Mrs. Hurst, 90, of Mattoon died Feb. 20, 2009, at her home.
