Mr. Mark A. Green, age 57 of Steele, passed from this life to be with his Lord on the evening of August 27, 2018. A memorial service to honor his life will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Saturday for an hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 P.M. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Children's Hospital of Alabama or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Early on in life Mr. Green assisted his family with the day to day operations of running their family farm. Mark then began a career serving as a corrections office in Blount County, which he continued doing for several decades until his retirement. Mark was a faithful fan of the Auburn Tigers and was known to his friends by many nicknames including "Buzzard" and "Lurch". Those preceding him in passing include his father and brother. He leaves behind many loving family members to cherish his memory including his wife, Betty and mother, Annie Sue. More information will be announced in the coming days.
