Mike grew up listening to the music of the late 60’s and 70’s, which influenced him to sing in choir and SPEPBSQA. He loved spending time with grandparents at the Lake of the Ozarks working one summer at The Barge. He was an avid fisherman and loved the years he lived in South Dakota.
His grandparents and his father preceded him in death. He has left to cherish his memory his three children, Emily (Eric McKenzie), Spencer and Jack, and four grandchildren, Gwenevere, Adalynne, Kieran and Zuri. Also surviving are his mother Jan Fisk, step-mother Glenda Watts, sisters Kathy Watts (Kenneth Denman) and Karen (Keith) Garnett, half-sisters Hoktali Quick, Wiyanna (Joe) Hicks, half-brother Justin Watts, step-brother Ron Garner and step-sister Carrie Garner, 12 nephews and nieces and one great-nephew.

An old man once said, "There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."I like this!
