David Lee Hill, "Dave", formerly of Gig Harbor, Washington, died at his home in Georgia on August 12, 2018, leaving a huge void in the hearts of his family and many friends. He was a lover of life, family and friends, including his dog Player. He will be greatly missed by all.
David was born in Bremerton on July 10, 1973 to Carl David Hill and Donna Evans Hill. Dave was raised in Port Orchard and graduated from South Kitsap High School with the class of 1991.
Dave was an avid Seahawks fan and was overwhelmingly gifted at a few things; car deals, making friends and laughter! Early on Dave was successful in automotive sales. Later he became an entrepreneur as a very successful independent auto broker where he made many more friends. The impact he made on everyone he encountered will be felt for a lifetime.
Dave was preceded in death by his father David Hill, his grandfather Carl Hill and his grandparents Opal and Dave Hallman. He is survived by his wife Jenifer Sumerix Blake Hill; his three daughters Audrey Hill, Alyssa Hill and Alexis Hill and stepson, Aron Blake; his mother Donna Perry and stepfather John Perry; stepmom, Sharon Hill; grandmother Emma Hill and his sister, Christy Keller-Irwin.
Dave's former colleagues held a candlelight vigil to honor him on August 24th. Then a celebration of his life was held at Belfair State Park for family and friends. Also a wake to celebrate his life was held at the Half Time Saloon in Gig Harbor on Saturday Aug 25, 2018 with his ashes spread near Cutt's Island (also known as Deadman’s Island) in Puget Sound the following day, Sunday August 26th.
