Carolyn was a native of Houston, TX, and the daughter of the late Buford Allen Dooley, SR. and Betty Lou Johnson Dooley.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Gentry, in 2005.
She is survived by two sons, Andrew Gentry and wife Lillian, Portage, MI, and Christopher Gentry, Knoxville; one daughter, Theresa Renaua Lofton and husband Kevin, Spring, TX; one brother, Buford Allen Dooley, Jr. and wife Delia Ann, Knoxville; two grandchildren, Lolly Emma and Vivie Gwen Gentry, Portage; nephew, William Dooley, and niece, Norma Armato.
The graveside funeral service for Mrs. Gentry will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at 2:30 P.M., in Mountain Home National Cemetery, with Rev. Gene Deaton, officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the graveside service Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 P.M. in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home.
