Elizabeth Juanita Metcalf, 83, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Hardin County, a member of St. James Catholic Church, and retired from the Hardin County Board of Education after 18 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Metcalf; daughter, Leuonta Jane Metcalf; parents, Elmer and Elizabeth Jessie Masterson Slinker; and her dog, Rascal. She is survived by her son, Tim (Kay) Metcalf of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren, Holly (Paul) Cairns of Elizabethtown and Bryan (Tabatha) Metcalf of Sonora; eight great grandchildren, Marcus, Caylee, Gavin, Reagan, Kessanee, Hunter, Alexis, and Bailey; and one great-great grandchild, Arabella. The funeral is Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Casey Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home.
