Chester Ray Parsons, 68, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, August, 25, 2018 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Findley, OH, and retired from the United States Army after 26 years. He was a member of the AM Vets, American Legion Post 113, and an ambassador for Maker's Mark. He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Parsons; and parents, Virgle and Dorothy Sherman Parsons. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Parsons; two sons, Keith Parsons and David King both of Defiance, OH; three daughters, Melissa Tiffany of Hesperia, CA, Jenifer Soots and Stephanie Reed both of Elizabethtown; four sisters, Geraldine (William) Hudson of Holgate, OH, Teresa (Paul) Carter of Bryan, OH, Gloria Lupien of Michigan, and Vera (James) Flint of Montpelier, OH; three brothers, Ronnie (Vivian) Parsons of McClure, OH, Faron (Peggy) Parsons of Williams Center, OH, and Cecil Parsons of Hicksville, OH; nine grandchildren, Tayler, Alexis, Dylan, Coty, Aiden, Jay, Haley, Amber, and Hope; and his beloved dog, Axel Rose. The funeral is at 1 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
