William “Bill” Boswell, 87, was born on July 2, 1931 in Greenville, Mississippi. He passed away, August 25, 2018 at the Madrid Home in Madrid, Iowa.
Bill was a longtime resident of Des Moines, Iowa and owned the iconic Boswell’s Restaurant for many years. During retirement he had worked as a school crossing guard.
Bill is survived by daughters-in-law, Dawn Boswell, Dee Boswell and Penny Boswell; grandchildren, Bobby, James, Joseph, Justin, Michael, Brooke and Shannon and their families; and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. Boswell, his long-time companion, Verna Johnson and his three sons, Robert, James and Randy Boswell.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Iles Dunn’s Chapel from 10-11am. A graveside service at Glendale Cemetery will follow.
