Ernest Darrell “Dick” Robertson, age 95 of Wirtz, passed away on August 27, 2018. Dick was born on September 14, 1922, to Samuel and Maude Robertson. He was also preceded in death by his wife Betty McGuire Robertson; a daughter, Debbie Robertson: a granddaughter, Carla Dalton: a brother, Gilbert Robertson: sisters, Beulah Robertson Davis and Josie Robertson Dillon. He is survived by a daughter, Sue Dalton (Tom); a son, Sammy Robertson (Iris); four grandchildren. Dick made his home in Franklin County, where he drove a school bus in his early years. He was a cattle farme. He raised Black Angus and Charolais cattle. When Smith Mountain Lake was built, Dick sold boats and opened "Dicks Food Center" at Crossroads. Burial will be at Franklin Memorial Park.
