Lewis “Bubba” Ferguson, 66, of Call, Texas died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Call Junction Baptist Church in Kirbyville with burial at Trout Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.

Born Nov. 30, 1951 in Kirbyville to Lewis Jefferson 'Jeff' and Crilla (Powell) Ferguson, he had lived in the Kirbyville area most of his life and was a heavy equipment operator, did construction work, worked in oilfields, moved houses, drilled water wells, and worked on water pumps.

Bubba was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Rainey Ferguson and Randy Ferguson; sister Earlis Jackson; and brothers-in-law Cecil Fowler, Clinton Burns and Bo Jackson.

He is survived by a son, Lewis B. Ferguson, Jr. of Kirbyville; daughters, Jennifer Marie Vann & Michael, Teresa Pearl Downing & James, and Kelly Ann Prewitt & Lee all of Kirbyville; sisters, Opal Seals, Frankie Burns, and Sally Burns & Edgar of Kirbyville, and Bobbie Lummus & Rufus of Hemphill; sister-in-law, Audie Ferguson of Kirbyville; and 11 grandchildren, Skylar Richard, Braxton Ferguson, Brianna Ferguson, Caitlin Richard, Kenley Prewitt, Logan Prewitt, Ryder Ferguson, Gunner Vann, Jameson Downing, and Jaxson Downing.
