George Anslem Street was born on November 10, 1888 in Nashville, Tennessee, the son of James Park Street (1859–1944) and Laura Louella (Neely) Street (1856–1918). {The Death Certificates of both parents list them as buried in the "Street Burial Ground" and the "family burial ground" respectively.}

George was married 1st about 1908 to Daisey Bell Howell (1891–1926), the daughter of James Lawson Howell (1847–1918) and Alice Ann (Corbitt) Howell (1850–1922). He was married 2nd as the 2nd husband of Georgia Nettie (Evins) Howell (ca 1889- ). Georgia had been married 1st to Charles Howell and they had several children.

A switch foreman at Nashville Terminals and living at 934 Douglas Avenue in Nashville, George was 56 years old and married when he died at home of a coronary embolus on April 20, 1945. Burial was three days later in Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison {city, not county}.
