Kathryn H. “Kate” Clark, age 97, a lifelong Sturgis resident, and great-great-great-granddaughter of Judge John Sturgis, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at Thurston Woods Village.
She was born August 22, 1921 in Sturgis, Michigan a daughter to the late Roger M. and Helen (Froh) Sturgis.
On June 29, 1941 in Coldwater, MI she married Loran J. Clark who preceded her in death in October of 1984.
Kathryn was employed by the Kirsch Company in Sturgis from July 1953 to retirement in February of 1980. She also worked for Weight Watchers for over 10 years.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Burr Oak, MI.
Surviving are one son: Roy L. (Alana) Clark and one daughter: Judy Kay Norris both of Sturgis, MI; 5 grandchildren: Chad (Stephanie) Clark, Matthew (Dena) Clark, Stacy (Shane) Hamil, Jolane (Dan) Conklin, and Shari (Andrew) Dalrymple; 8 great-grandchildren, and 5 step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law: Shirley Norris, and one step-grandson.
