Betty Drake passed away peacefully at Bailey Center Hospice, St. Augustine, on Aug. 18, 2018. She was born in Jacksonville on April 16, 1928, and after graduating from Andrew Jackson High School she worked for Gulf Life Insurance and then Ryder Truck Lines until her retirement.
She was predeceased by her husband, K.L "Duck" Drake, a retired Commander in the U.S. Navy. She will be lovingly remembered by her many family members and friends.
There will be a social gathering of family members at Jacksonville National Cemetery at a date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, North Florida Chapter in Jacksonville.
