He was born October 14, 1962, to Clarence J. Bennett and Mary Jane Bennett.
He was a residential contractor and land developer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence J. Bennett.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Jayne Bennett, of the home; one son, William Bennett; his sister, Dianne Bryant-Inman; a special nephew Mike Bryant; and his pride and joy, his grandson, Heath Bennett, all of King. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
A memorial service will be held at 7:30 PM on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Slate Funeral Home in King, NC.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 7:30 pm prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4615 Dundas Dr., Greensboro, NC 27407.
