Services celebrating the life of Vickie Malissa Tomlin Morris will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 28th, at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop, Louisiana. Reverends Dennis Hackler and James Moffett will officiate the service. Committal and interment will follow at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2018 at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.
Vickie Malissa Morris was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on August 29, 1972. She passed away unexpectedly on August 24, 2018 at her home in Dubach, Louisiana. Vickie is preceded in death by a daughter, Abrah Meredith Morris and her mother, Robbie Graves Tomlin, and her birth mother, Shirley Lasseigne Fry. Vickie had a servants heart, full of compassion and concern for others. Through her work as a personal caregiver she was able to touch many lives in a caring and selfless manner. She enjoyed her time spent with family especially keeping in contact with her brothers and extended family. Vickie was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She was loved and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband Mark Morris of Dubach, Louisiana; her daughter, Meghan Morris of Grapevine, Texas; her son, Korey Morris and Susana Sifforod of Dubach, Louisiana; father, Jerry Tomlin of Bastrop, Louisiana; birth father, Jerry French of Waskom, Texas; two brothers, Don Tomlin and his wife, Erica of Mayflower, Arkansas, and Jimmy Kendall of Paris, Arkansas.
Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
