Karen was born on September 17, 1948 in Jackson, TN, the daughter of the late Harmon Clarence and Juanita Homesley Ada. She was a graduate of Union University and was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She worked at Conalco in Customer Service and was a member of Malesus Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Howard.

She is survived by her brother, niece, two great nephews, and two sisters-in-law.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at a visitation to be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons.

The funeral service is to be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Bro. Mark Cagle of Malesus Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.
