Matthew was a proud and decorated Army Veteran of the Vietnam War (1st Calvary Division) who was drafted in 1970, and saw 11 months of combat duty as a crew chief on a helicopter in Vietnam. After his service, he started his own business, C.M. Fire Sprinklers and enjoyed a 40 year successful career working in fire protection services.
Matthew always found fulfillment visiting the Jersey Shore, especially as a homeowner in Point Pleasant Beach. He also enjoyed sailing with his cousins, listening to jazz music, and was well known for throwing great parties especially for Saint Patrick's Day and Halloween where his hospitality and delicious home cooked food was always loved by family and friends. Matthew was a proud "Pop Pop" to his granddaughter, Avery and was looking forward to the arrival of his second granddaughter.
Matthew is survived by his devoted daughters, Meghan Jaworski and Shannon Cooper, his son-in-law, Stephen Jaworski, soon to be son-in-law, Fady Ayad and other relatives and very close friends.
Matthew's family would like to thank ALL of the wonderful family and friends who have helped and supported him during this difficult time, and they would like to say a special thank you to the Veteran Affairs Nurses & Doctors at Palliative Care in Lyons, NJ who helped take care of him.
