The funeral for Bryan E. Logan, 51, of Ponca City, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel, Ponca City, Okla. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Arkansas City, Kan. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, Ponca City, Okla. Visitation will be 8-5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Bryan Eugene Logan was born Aug. 8, 1958, in Arkansas City, Kan., to Bryan and Florence Logan and died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at his home after a long illness. He was raised and educated in Grandview, Mo. He started working at age 15 for K.F.C and mowing lawns. At 20 years of age he found his passion for cutting meat. He worked for various places, including J.R. Meat in Peculiar, Mo., Rodeo Meat in Arkansas City, Kan., Big Country Meat in Enid, Okla., Blue Ridge Meat Market in Kansas City, Mo., Mr. Prime Beef in Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Dillion’s Meat Market in Arkansas City, Kan. He worked in construction and carpentry in between meat-cutting jobs. He was raised and educated in Grandview, Mo. He started working at age 15 for K.F.C and mowing lawns. At 20 years of age he found his passion for cutting meat. He worked for various places, including J.R. Meat in Peculiar, Mo., Rodeo Meat in Arkansas City, Kan., Big Country Meat in Enid, Okla., Blue Ridge Meat Market in Kansas City, Mo., Mr. Prime Beef in Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Dillion’s Meat Market in Arkansas City, Kan. He worked in construction and carpentry in between meat-cutting jobs. He enjoyed bodybuilding, NASCAR racing, camping, spending time with family and watching the K.C. Chiefs play. On Aug. 7, 1982, he married Deborah Kay Bushyhead in Enid, Okla. They raised five children and later adopted four of their grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Deborah, of the home; three sons, B.A. and wife Jamie Logan, Elijah Logan and Seth Logan, all of Ponca City, Okla.; six daughters, Jennifer Cauthron, Dorothy and husband Haze Lansford, Amanda Logan, Neecya Logan and Katelynn Logan, all of Ponca City, Okla., and Alicia and husband Dewayne Brewington of Newkirk, Okla.; one sister, Michelle Miller of Independence, Mo.; two brothers, Darrell Logan and wife Jacki of Peculiar, Mo., and Arlen Logan and wife Sally of Lansing, Kan., 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Bryan “Cork” Logan; grandparents, Harold and Elanora McMullin, and Bryan W. and Virginia Logan; and granddaughter, Maizie Lansford. Pallbearers will be B.A. Logan, Arlen Logan, Darrell Logan, Darwin Bushyhead, Stenson Bushyhead, De-wayne Brewington, Haze Lansford and Mervin Miller. (Paid Obit 1-29-1)
