Eva Lorene Coates Lang was given her heavenly wings on August 21, 2018 at the age of 78. She was born October 28, 1939 in Mason, Texas. She was in Fredericksburg when she passed at Windcrest Nursing Home.

She was a homemaker and worked in the lunch room and influenced the younger generation at Mason schools. She also worked at the Mason Nursing Home. She was a member of the Pep Squad and sports booster clubs while her children were involved in these areas. Mom and dad were also involved with the Cancer Relay for Life for 10 years.

They were married for 58 years and within those years they gained a daughter Sandra Beam and husband Robert, a son Karl Lang and wife Dawn, 5 grandchildren Travis and Eva Beam, Karl Jr., Josh and wife Dorah, Jennifer and husband Ajay, 6 great-grandchildren Ethan, Elizabeth and Bradley Beam, Ollie Lang, and David and Jonathan Arnold and “granddogs” who she loved dearly Bandit and Kharlie. She is also survived by two sisters Norma Jean Atchley and Ada Helen Burnie and a brother Jackie Coates.

She was preceded in death by a brother George Coates.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 25, a 2:00 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Gooch Cemetery.
