He passed away on August 23, 2018 surrounded by family.
Billy Carl was born on October 27, 1942 to Dola Marie Cason & William Carl Lemons. He lived his entire life in Cooke County, Tx. He was married on November 18, 1961 to the love of his life, Robby Roberts, for 56 years. They made their home in the Burns City area where he worked primarily as a farmer and rancher. One of his passions was spending time helping his friends and family. To many, he was known as a jack of all trades and someone who could fix anything. It was this love of helping others that lead him to serve his community as County Commissioner.
He enjoyed drinking coffee with his buddies, jeeping in Colorado, hunting arrowheads, quail hunting and growing watermelons to share with friends.
He is survived by his wife Robby Lemons of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law Ricky and Ginger Lemons of Callisburg, daughter and son-in-law Deanna and Dave Bowman of Carrollton, daughter and son-in-law Mitzie and Gary Fazio of Highland Village, son and daughter-in-law Aaron and Whitney Lemons of Gainesville; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Glenda and Bobby Liedtke, brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Shirley Lemons and brother Gary Lemons.
B.C. was proceeded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers are Charles Harpole, Randy Rhoades, Gene Thompson, Kelly Lemons, Chris Roberts and Jason Roberts.
