Richard Emerson passed away on August 11, 2018 at the Pinewood Nursing home in Colville, Washington. Dick was born January 8, 1933 to Mary and Charles Emerson of South Dakota. Dick served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and his service was his proudest accomplishment. Dick was a railroad engineer for the Milwaukee railroad after serving as an agent-operator in Coffee Creek, Ringling and Three Forks. After his retirement from the railroad, he operated second-hand stores in Three Forks.

Dick had five children; Lynn (Jack) of Helena, MT, Chuck (Jeri) of Kettle Falls, WA, David (LeeAnn) of Willow Creek, MT, Betsy (Margaret) of St. Paul, MN and Paul (Cara) of Bismarck, ND. Dick had 9 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings; Charles, Bud, Jim and Mary Lou. The family wishes to thank Buena Vista Assisted Living and Pinewood Nursing home for taking care of our father. Dick will be buried at the Helena VA cemetery at a date yet to be determined.
