Charles 'Chuck' E. Madden, 65, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed from this life Tuesday, August 7, 2018. He was born October 18, 1952 in Tulare, California to Bunk and Ruby Madden. He attended and graduated from Poway High School in California and furthered his education at Palmetto College (USC).

Chuck proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army from February 1975 to February 1979 from which he received an Honorable discharge.

He married the love of his life, Retha Kathleen Dunlap, on March 20, 1980 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They shared more than 38 years of life and marriage together.

Chuck worked as a Police Officer for Muskogee Police Department and retired in 2004 after 25 years of service.

He was an active and faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Chuck was an avid Military historian, and spent his spare time collecting memorabilia he admired.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Bunk and Ruby Lee Madden; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Jean Dunlap; sisters-in-law, Donna Conway and Connie Dunlap; nephew, Brent.

He is survived by his wife, Retha (Kathy) of the home; his daughter, Melissa Davis and husband Mickey; brother, Stephen Madden and wife Renee of Poteau; sisters, Linda Hays and husband Jerry of Stigler, Beverly Monks of Eufaula; brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, Robert Dunlap and Tim Dunlap and wife Polly, all of Houston, Peggy Hutson of Owasso, Merry and Wes Zollars of Porum; the pride and joy of his life, grandchildren, Micah Emory Stafford, Miriam Kathleen Stafford, Ruby Sherrilyn Davis; and many family members and friends whom he loved deeply.

The family will receive friends from 2-4PM, Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral Home.

Funeral services celebrating Chuck's life will be 12:00pm, Monday August 13, 2018 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Reverend Adrian Totty officiating. Internment will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Military Honors being presented. Pallbearers will be Kurt Lane, Greg Martin, Steve Madden, Billy Dickson, Mickey Davis, Wes Zollars, Robert Dunlap, and Michael Stafford. Honorary pallbearers will be James Dunlap, Jerry Hays, Steve Morgan, Scott Renfro, Tim Dunlap, Devin Beach, Ron Yates Jr, and Kelly Beach.
