Sally Jo Martin, age 89, of Dodgeville, WI passed away surrounded by her family on August 22, 2018 at Upland Hills Nursing and Rehab Center in Dodgeville, after a long battle with dementia. Sally was born on November 19, 1928, to Ralph and Gayl (Tredinnick) Smart. She lived in Mineral Point, WI until the age of 3 when her family moved to Depue, IL during the Depression. Sally graduated from Depue High School in 1946. She went on to graduate from the Northwest Institute of Medical Technology in Minneapolis. Sally met her future husband, William R. Martin (Ralph) of Dodgeville, through the family gatherings given by her sister Jane. They married on December 1, 1951 at the Dodgeville Plymouth Congregational Church.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Gayl and Ralph Smart, her sisters; Harriet (Earl) Starks, Jane (Harold) Lulloff, Mary (Charles) Kasbeer and Gayl (Earl) Farris; brother in law Howard (Doris) Martin and great granddaughter Grace Martin.
