Jacqueline Lynn Atkins Hale, 33, of Lexington, formerly of Stanford, died Saturday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center after a long illness.

Born Sept. 20, 1964, in Danville, she was a daughter of Lillie Mimms Atkins Richards of Stanford and the late James F. Atkins.

She also was preceded in death by a stepfather, Jesse Richards.

She was a computer programmer, a 1982 graduate of Lincoln County High School and a 1989 graduate of Arizona State University. She was a member of Hollis Chapel Baptist Church in Portland, Tenn.

Other survivors include two daughters, Fallon M. and Amber N. Hale, both of Stanford; two sisters, Darlene Martin of Deerpark, Ohio, and Janice Risner of Stanford; a brother, James T. Atkins of Houston, Texas; two half sisters, Ella Moore of Hustonville and Lula Bray of Franklin, Ohio; and a stepsister, Arlene Ragle of Junction City.

Graveside services were held Tuesday at Buffalo Springs Cemetery by the Rev. Barry Delaney.

Pallbearers were Lanny and Jeremy Martin, James Risner, Jeff Simpson, Gary Richey and Larry Walls.
