Jack is survived by wife, Lynda Hughes, children, Jack Hughes Jr.(Beverly), Darla Parker (Sledge), Michelle Davis, Ben Hughes (Lynn), and Keenan Hughes (Allison). Grandchildren, Kaleigh Hughes, Laura Ferguson, Lauren Juneau, Madeline Hughes, Jack Peyton Hughes, Natalie Hughes, Reanna Hughes and Kaden Hughes. Great Grandchildren, Trendan Starkes, Mackenzie Oakley, Makayla Oakley, and Ariel Kergosian. Beloved pet, Mitu.
He is preceded in death by his parents, T M Hughes, Sr. and Oberia Johnson Hughes, siblings T M Hughes Jr. and Jim Hughes, and granddaughter, Jaclyn Hughes.
Jack graduated from Prosper High School, and attended University of North Texas , and later on, Harvard Business School. His service to our Country was through the United States Marine Corp.
Jack began his career at the Prosper Cooperative Gin. He then went into the banking industry where he became President of the Texas Bank for Cooperatives and then retired as Vice President of Farm Credit Banks in Austin, TX in 1989.
After retirement, he returned to Houston, and enjoyed life golfing, fishing, hunting, and watching sports.
Visitation for Jack will be held from 9-10 am with the funeral service to begin at 10 am on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Klein Funeral Home Cyfair. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday at the Klein Memorial Park on SH 249 in Pinehurst.
