of Lathrop Mills, Jefferson Co., New York, first was Congregational Minister then became a Presbyterian minister as per census records.

He married 1/w Stella Desire Hough 2 May 1839 Meridian, New Haven Co., CT., daughter of Phineas and Desire (Cook) Hough. Phineas and Desire (Cook) Hough

buried in Omro Cemetery, Omro, Winnebago Co., Wisconsin.

Alfred and Stella had 5 children:

1. Judith Cornelia Lathrop m. Barrett Blodgett

2. Rev Stanley Edward Lathrop m. Elizabeth Littell

3. Alfred Hough Lathrop Served in Civil War and afterward

discharged and disappeared in state of Missouri
