Obituary for Gerald "Wayne" Burns
Gerald Wayne Burns passed away unexpectedly but peacefully due to natural causes, at his residence, in Denham Springs on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the age of 51. He was born on October 8, 1966 and a native of Denham Springs. He leaves behind a devoted wife, Karin Kippers Burns, of 32 years. Wayne was an avid LSU fan, his favorite color was blue, his favorite bird was the wild turkey. He graduated from Denham Springs High School in 1984 where he was a captain in the band. After high School, he attended The Baton Rouge School of Computers and spent his life working as a master electrician. He loved traveling and attending Rush concerts throughout the whole United States. Wayne had a big heart and loved making people smile. He will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts. He is survived by his wife, Karin Kippers Burns; loving father and step-mother Gerald Louis and Melba Burns of Denham Springs; sister, Sheryl (Jewell) Chatellier of Ponchatoula, Sister Robin (Denton) Price of Ponchatoula, Step-sister Tammie (Lance) Guidry of Denham Springs, Step-father Glenn Sticker of Ponchatoula, father and mother-in-law George and Margaret Kippers of Denham Springs, Sister-in-law Kristine Kippers of Maurepas, Nephews Jordan Tarter and Alex Johnson of Denham Springs, plus many nephews , nieces, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Ann Sticker and his brother, Valmon Louis Burns. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, in Denham Springs on Wednesday August 22, 2018 from 11am until Celebration of Life Service at 1pm, conducted by Rev. Benny Jones. Burial will follow in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery on Range Ave in Denham Springs.
