Dennis Jerold Harden of Stratford, Oklahoma was born to Jack and Daphne (Berry) Harden on March 31, 1942 in Duncan, Oklahoma and passed from this life on August 20, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years.

Dennis grew up and attended school in Tulsa, Oklahoma and went to college at East Central University where he obtained his B.S. degree in History. He worked as a mail carrier for the Ada post office until his retirement in 1990. Dennis later farmed and ranched at his home in Stratford. Mr. Harden served his country in the Army National Guard, served on the pistol team and was one of the governors top ten shooters for several years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading military history and shooting.

Mr. Harden is survived by: Sons: Larry Hurst Harden of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ernie Harden of Stringtown, Oklahoma, Brothers: Larry Edwin Harden of Stratford, Oklahoma, Jay Harden of Stratford, Oklahoma, Grandchildren: Annabelle M. Harden and Andrew H. Harden

Mr. Harden was preceded in death by: His parents: Jack and Daphne Harden, Brother: Franklin Miles Harden

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018 in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley, Ok Services are under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in the Tussy Cemetery.
