Jo Lynn was born on November 1, 1950 in DeLand, Florida to the late Edward and Minnie Williams. She attended Euclid Elementary, Southwestern Junior/Senior High School and Grambling University.

Jo Lynn served in the United States Navy for three years as a Chief Petty Oficer. She traveled extensively through the United States and other countries. She worked for the State of Florida (DOT) and she also worked for the Children's Home Society (Family Builders). Jo Lynn retired from the Florida United Methodist Children's Home as a child care worker for over 10 years. Jo Lynn had a unique style and compassion for working with children and their families. She was an excellent cook and she enjoyed hosting family gatherings. Jo Lynn had a genuine love for helping her family and daughter, Mini Adelle Green. She was baptized at an early age and joined Greater Union 1st Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend C. S. Felder

Jo Lynn transitioned into eternity on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, Florida. She was predeceased by her parents Edward and Minnie Williams, her brothers, Karl Spencer Williams and Henry Lott Williams. She leaves to cherish her memories; daughter, Mini Adelle Green; brothers, Charles, Harold and Gary Williams; sister, Karleen Taylor(Kenneth); nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of family and friends.

Homegoing Service will be on Saturday, August 25th at 2:00 p.m. at Greater Union First Baptist Church.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 24th from 4-7 p.m. at the JE Cusack Mortuary
